The anchors on this are not safe to use. They have suffered badly from galvanic corrosion and wear from movement of the metal work, which I assume is from movement of the rope due to both traffic and water flow. This pitch is typically climbed from the bottom on a round trip, so inspection of the anchors is not normal before use. The rope that was in place was pulled up to avoid this while the suspect anchors are still in place. | The anchors on this are not safe to use. Most of these anchors can be replaced in the same holes, subject to final inspection and hangs obtained on placement. It would seem sensible to replace anchors with modern resin anchors. It should have then minimal conservation implications. | Most of these anchors can be replaced in the same holes, subject to final inspection and hangs obtained on placement.
