====== Box Quarry Currently Closed ======

Box Quarry has been closed by the landowner and CSCC are in communication with them and other interested parties, to see how this situation can be resolved.
We know the landowner is not opposed to bona fide access for cavers and mine explorers, but they do have a legal duty to keep the quarries secure against casual entry, and a recent series of high profile incidents in the quarry have caused pressure on the landowner to secure the site.

We respect the landowner's rights and understand their legal duties. We are hopeful that an equitable solution can be achieved in the longer term.
